From April 30,  2022 – June 24, 2022, we only work with pre-bookings due to my studies.

On June 5 – 6, 2022, we are extra open from 10-16 for the public.

And on June 11 we have Brunch from 10 – 12 and from 13-15. Pre-bookings apply!

In close to both Ullared and Kalv and Fegen, you will probably find the most cozy café and hostel in the area. Here is the opportunity to: rent a canoe or boat to explore Lake Fegen, cycle in our beautiful scenery on proposed routes, swim from our bridge, hike on our hiking trails.
We have a pilgrimage 6 km away from us. Cycle trail The Ätradalsleden in a total of 197 km where 146 km go on old car-free railways passes our area ….. With Backa Loge as a starting point, you will experience the beautiful wilderness of Fegen nature reserve.

We serve hot meals such as lasagna, pizza, venison burgers, all cooked in our own kitchen. Every morning baked fresh bread and new variations on ”bärpajer”, cakes, biscuits and other tasty fabrications. Our waffles are served now as super waffle with ice cream, whipped cream, fruit and organic jams. We use organic ingredients as much as possible.

HISTORY

The estate of Backa Övre has dates back to 1600th century, in decade 1970 it was mentioned in the whole of Sweden when the local inhabitants demonstrated against a big tourist exploration.The owner Selma Andersson of the estate and local inhabitantes managed to stop the exploration.

Backa Loge is a result of idealistic work from the locals and in some respect from the owner, the municipality of Svenljunga.Late 1980 the barn was remodelled as to be used as a rumpus room, five years later the cafe was ready and in 2005 the dwelling house was changed in to an attractive Youth Hostel.
