You can fish all year round, but the peak season is spring and autumn. Special rules apply to pikes, you can keep up to 3 pikes between 40 – 75 cm in length. Lake Fegensjön has access restrictions on some islands and headlands as certain birds (such as other ospreys and great loons) nest in these places. The ban applies from April 1 to July 31 and signs are up both from the land side and water/lake side. You must not go closer than 100 meters to islands and the shore. During this time, the maximum speed for boats is 5 knots.

Children under the age of 15 do not need a fishing license. A fishing license entitles you to fish with hand gear, a maximum of 2 rods and a maximum of 5 anglers.
